This series is about every day objects. I have been intrigued by these particularly useful, but much maligned objects in our society. The toilet carries many characteristics that keep me going forward with everyday objects. One is, convenience vs. disdain. Another is the fact that it will be here long after our 2x4 and stucco houses will be gone. See the origins of the object series.
I like the tire as a symbol because of circular shape and inhibited decay along with its tendency to rise back to the surface after being buried. Not to mention it's important tie to American culture of cars, massive waste and the fact that I loved to draw them as a kid.
