Chaos + Order, A Fine Line

Project:

Our team installation with the Sprig Gallery, with Envision Berlin, in Berlin's borough of Pankow, Germany.

Statement:

Creativity relies on a creative process. I like to think of a faucet and a funnel. Both tools have a function in directing water. One expands and speeds up the water, while the other slows down and collects it.

Creatives who are open to chaos embrace complexity, disorder, and unpredictability. They push boundaries and experiment with unconventional thought patterns. Essentially, this is a deliberate disruption of expected visual conventions.

A creative person uniquely positions themselves to step into a chaotic space. Through the act of abandoning comfort and familiarity, a creative suspends the hope of completion while being open to new, unexpected thoughts.

This same person must then revisit the new thoughts and sort them through in an orderly fashion, seeking a line that connects or contrasts their thoughts. New patterns emerge when the creative moves to shift their thinking into an orderly mindset. A fine line separates the two worlds of chaos and order.

The creative is comfortable shifting between chaos and order, essentially combining them into one activity.
